Your Journey
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer to Kampala
Begin your Uganda safari adventure with arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be warmly received for an airport pickup and safari briefing before transferring to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. After your journey, take time to relax and recover from travel, with an optional visit to the scenic shores of Lake Victoria. This first day offers a gentle introduction to Ugandan culture and cuisine while allowing you to prepare for the exciting rainforest trekking experiences that lie ahead.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Travel to East Africa’s primate capital, renowned for its exceptional chimpanzee tracking and rich rainforest ecosystems. Enjoy a scenic drive through rolling tea plantations and picturesque crater lakes, with stopovers for photography and visits to local markets along the way. In the evening, take a gentle nature walk near the rainforest, where you may spot playful monkeys, colorful forest birds, and immerse yourself in the beauty of lush tropical vegetation.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience in Kibale
Begin your morning adventure with a guided chimpanzee trekking experience along rainforest trails, where you will observe chimpanzees feeding, playing, and socializing in their natural habitat while learning about primate conservation from expert guides. In the afternoon, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birdwatching and monkey tracking, followed by engaging community cultural tours that offer insight into local life. This day’s highlight is Kibale’s reputation as home to one of Africa’s largest populations of chimpanzees.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travel through scenic savannah landscapes and past beautiful crater lakes to one of Uganda’s most diverse wildlife parks. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting wildlife game drive where you can spot elephants, buffalo, and various antelope species, and conclude the day with a memorable sunset photography safari as the park’s landscapes glow in the evening light.
Day 5: Safari & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day with a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will enjoy close-up views of hippos and crocodiles and take part in a rewarding bird-watching safari. In the afternoon, continue with a scenic drive to the Bwindi rainforest region, followed by a visit to the Batwa indigenous community to experience cultural storytelling, traditional dances, and gain insight into their rich heritage.
Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Adventure.
Begin with an early morning guided gorilla trekking experience through dense rainforest, where you will spend a magical hour observing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat while enjoying photography opportunities and learning about vital conservation efforts. In the afternoon, return to your eco-lodge for relaxation, with optional village walks and handicraft shopping to engage with local communities. The highlight of the day is Bwindi’s remarkable status as home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, making it Uganda’s most iconic wildlife destination.
Day 6: Return to Entebbe & Departure.
In the morning, enjoy a scenic drive or opt for a domestic flight back to Entebbe. The afternoon is reserved for souvenir shopping and a cultural farewell lunch, after which you will be transferred to the airport for your onward departure, bringing your unforgettable safari experience to a close.
