Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive north through the scenic central highlands, passing Mount Kenya and crossing the equator. Enjoy beautiful views of changing landscapes as you head into Kenya’s semi-arid northern frontier. Arrive in Samburu in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by some relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve, known for its rugged beauty and rare wildlife including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
Spend the day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, and crocodiles, as well as numerous bird species unique to northern Kenya. An optional cultural visit to a Samburu village can be arranged to experience local traditions, music, and lifestyle. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Ranges. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp or lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in this renowned private conservancy, home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos, large populations of black and southern white rhinos, the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and abundant Big Five wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Spend the day exploring Ol Pejeta with morning and afternoon game drives. Optional activities include visiting the Rhino Sanctuary, guided bush walks, night game drives where permitted, and a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The conservancy offers excellent wildlife viewing combined with strong conservation experiences. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Ol Pejeta – Meru National Park
After breakfast, depart for Meru National Park, one of Kenya’s most diverse and less crowded safari destinations. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive through Meru’s lush landscapes of rivers, swamps, grasslands, and acacia forests. Meru is famous as the setting of the story of Elsa the Lioness from Born Free and is home to elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and abundant birdlife. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Enjoy a full day of exploration in Meru National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Highlights include the Rhino Sanctuary, Adamson Falls, Tana River ecosystems, and diverse wildlife and bird species. Meru offers a quieter and more exclusive safari experience with spectacular scenery and excellent photography opportunities. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Meru – Nairobi
After breakfast, depart Meru and drive back to Nairobi with scenic stops along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon with drop-off at your hotel or at the airport for onward travel.
